Professor Jiro Kokuryo is currently serving as Vice President for International Affairs. He is responsible for leading Keio University's global outreach efforts including KIPIS. Professor Kokuryo's research interests center on how to maximize the benefits of information technologies with society and economy. As a member of the Cabinet IT Strategy Headquarters, he has played a central in the development of Japan's Internet policy and strategy.

Professor Kokuryo graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1982, and obtained an MBA in 1988 and a doctorate of business administration in 1992 from Harvard Business School. He heads the Design Platform Laboratory within the Keio Research Institute.
