Professor Rodney Van Meter's current research covers systems for distributed quantum computing and more generally post-Moore's Law computer architecture, All-IP computer architectures, and understanding post-silicon processors.

He is also interested in other forms of unconventional computing, IPv6, mobile networking, parallel & distributed operating systems, file systems, and distance learning.

He is a graduate of the California Institute of Technology in 1986 and received his Ph.D from Keio University in 2008.
