2013 GOJ Declaration to be World’s Most Advanced IT Nation

This plan was released in June 2013 and lays out the Abe administration’s vision for promoting greater utilization of Internet technologies in government and industry.  Top priorities included disaster preparedness, greater use of IT in delivering government services including education and healthcare, reliance on IT technologies to revitalize and reform agriculture and improvement of government IT procurement practices under the leadership of the newly named CIO.  The plan will guide government budget priorities through 2020.
