General Secretary Xi Jinping announced China’s intention create an Internet Security and Information Management Group within its government.
China revealed that as it aims to establish itself as a cyber super power, security and economic growth will remain amongst their top concerns. In order to do so, creating infrastructure and technology capable of sustaining regulatory organization will be necessary.
The Chinese action is largely related a reaction to the NSA’s attempt to obtain information from large portions of the Asia region. Currently, government officials are questioning the NSA regarding their attempt to access computers in Taiwan.
